Well, if you asked that question to some of my friends you would probably hear, "He's a real energetic fun guy!" While that is important since I'm an entertainer, you'll be surprised to find that when I'm not working as a DJ around huge crowds, I spend my time outdoors with the love of my life Denise and her dog Lexi. We enjoy fishing, taking the occassional jog through the woods, and going to dog parks. Another interesting fact about me is I don't watch much television. Even though I have a sweet 46 inch HD TV, it's mostly reserved for sporting events and video games. So your next question is, if you don't watch TV than what do you do? I split my time up between 5 things. #5: Sporting Events Denise and I are both serious sports fans. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, we are obviously fans of the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. We regularly attend hockey games and the occasional football game. Last year we went to Tampa Bay for the Super Bowl and I actually went to the game with my best friend Matt. Here are a few pictures.
I love dogs. I've always had one growing up and plan on getting a second in the near future. But for now, we just have Lexi. Her dad was a pure breed boxer and her mother was a pure breed pitbull. So, needless to say she was not planned and was the runt of the litter. But she has grown to be a crazy dog with both traits of a pitbull and a boxer. We often take her to dog park at Brady's Run. Her favorite thing to do in the whole world is go for car rides. Here's a video of her! #3: Running I'm an avid runner and last fall became a cross country coach for Hopewell High School, which just happens to also be my Alma Mater. One of my runners even made it all the way to the state championships in Hershey, PA! Let's go vikings! So, now that season is over I am trainging for the Pittsburgh Marathon on May 2nd. I also try to run 5ks on a regular basis. It's a good way to give back to the local communities since all 5ks in the area are used to raise money for a good cause. I recently ran the "Miles of Smiles for Sunny" and finished 1st place in my age group, 20th place overall. click to view race results #2: Fishing and Camping The great thing about living in Pennsylvania is we have an abundance of wildlife, waterways, and woods. With these natural resources right around the corner, you would think more people would enjoy them more often. I have a great group of friends who I travel with to different wildlife destinations. From deep sea fishing in Outter Banks, N.C. to fishing the Allegheny River, we catch fish whenever we get together. Here's a look at some of our most recent catches.
#1: Entertaining I was once told in college that if you should ever have the chance to choose between a job that paid well and a job that you loved, to take the job that you loved. The reason is because you will put extra effort into the one you love which will eventually make you the best. I took that advice and became a fulltime professional DJ. And now that I look back at it, that was the best advice I was ever given. The majority of my time is taken up by the everyday duties of being a DJ. It's not a job, but more of a lifestyle. Right now I perform three to four events per week. I also practice about 10 hours a week at home working on new mixes and sets. Sometimes I'll record a set and put it on the web site for free download. If interested in downloading some, you can get them under the DJ Mixes section. |
